THE VALUE OF BC'S GRASSLANDS: Exploring Ecosystem Values and Incentives for Conservation
Grasslands provide resources and ecosystem services that benefit local communties and regional and global processes. In this new document, we begin to explore how these values in BC's grasslands can be measured.
GRASSLAND PORTFOLIO: Thompson Basin Ecosystem The first of the grassland portfolios series is now available. Drawing on supporting data and maps, the portfolios identify priority grassland areas of provincial regions and offer strategic recommendations for use in land use planning.
An Ecological Assessment for the Aberdeen Area of the City of Kamloops provides scientific rationale for ecologically sustainable development. A direct result of a Planning for Change workshop, it is an example of the benefits of the partnership building aspect of this initiative.
