The Grasslands Conservation Council of BC is a non-profit organization that has been dedicated to preserving, protecting and promoting the grasslands of British Columbia since 1999.

Grasslands are a rare and valuable ecosystem in BC. Our work involves mapping, inventory, prioritizing and status reporting for grassland ecosystems, developing grasslands monitoring methodology, promoting ecologically sensitive planning and decision making and education about BC's beautiful and fragile grassland landscapes. The GCC strives to balance ecological, agricultural, environmental and social concerns with conservation and stewardship of BC's most endangered ecosystems.

With your help, the GCC will continue to forge a grassland legacy for current and future generations by using a collaborative and cooperative approach to grassland management.

The GCC's vision of a province dedicated to protecting, promoting and preserving its grassland heritage is an attainable goal that all British Columbians can work towards to ensure that our precious spaces remain viable, strong and sustainable well into the future.
