Make a Donation

There are so many different ways to make a contribution to the GCC. Since our humble beginnings in 1999, our organization has grown to its current state through the generous and thoughtful people that make up our membership.

Without your support, the GCC would not be able to continue its important work in grassland conservation, education and protection.

Become a Member

When you make a tax deductible donation for as little as $30 you will become an individual member of the GCC. As a corporation, you will become a member with a gift of $250. Memberships are renewable on a yearly basis.

Download a donation form here if you wish to send a cash or cheque donation by mail. We can also accept credit card payments at our office or set up a monthly donation through your financial institution.

Using your credit card, secure donations can also be made online through CanadaHelps.org, a not-for-profit organization that facilitates online donations through a secure site. CanadaHelps.org does not collect fees for this service and all of your donation (less credit card charges) will be transferred to the GCC.  CanadaHelps.org will send you an e-receipt for your donation.  This is an official tax-deductible receipt approved by Canada Customs and Revenue Agency.

Gift Memberships

A great way to recognize a birthday, anniversary, wedding or other special event.  Simply fill out the membership form for the intended recipient and give the gift of grass to the ones you love.

Donate Through the Sale of Your Home

If you are currently selling your home, Charity Begins At Home is a unique non-profit organization that facilitates home sellers to donate a portion of their real estate agent's fee to the charitable group of their choice. The GCC is currently registered with the group and would benefit enormously from your decision to donate a portion of your agent's fee to our operations.

Planned Giving

Leave a legacy for our children and future generations by helping to protect the natural and cultural heritage of our grasslands. A planned gift may be a one-time cash donation, a series of donations over a set period, bequests under a will, donations of publicly traded securities, RRSP, RRIF, or life insurance policies, and an endowment.  Planned gifts can be made available immediately or they can be made available for the future. Memorial and Tribute Gifts

Honour the memory of a friend or loved one who appreciated the beauty and importance of grasslands.  In memoriam donations are a tribute to friends, family and colleagues and a kind offer of support to bereaved family members.  The GCC will issue a tax receipt, and will send the family a tasteful card acknowledging the gift. The amount of gift remains anonymous, and you can be assured the family will not be solicited in any way in the future.
