The Grasslands of British Columbia Report

The Grasslands of British Columbia is the most comprehensive compilation of grasslands information in BC. 

In 2002, the GCC recognized that a consolidated ecological description for all the grasslands and grassland communities in BC was not available. Furthermore, information about species at risk and other wildlife that depend on these grasslands was not readily available or integrated in one document. To fill this need, the GCC worked with Solterra Resources Ltd. to compile and consolidate grassland information for all the regions of the province.

This project, completed in 2004, allows the GCC to inform people and organizations about the different types of grasslands around the province, their values, uniqueness and biodiversity. The GCC is very pleased to be able to present and make available this important information.
